If Israel fires a Missile into Sudan, the World will rush to save Sudanese lives Quicker – Until then, Sudan’s Generals can kill as many Sudanese as they wish.
The death toll in Sudan's civil war was recently revised.
It's been identified that some 61,000 people died in the Khartoum state alone in the past year[1]. This is almost 50% more Gazans who have died since the October 7th War began last year.
Human Suffering Created by Anti-Israel Sentiments or the Lack Thereof
Hate for Israel and tolerance for murderous leaders in the region mark the crux of hypocrisy and double standards in the international community and the international media.
Sadly, many innocent people die for that!
Suppose Israel openly declares support for one of the Sudanese generals in this war; the world's attention will quickly turn to his faction, and the leader will be rapidly defeated, resulting in peace in Sudan.
In the meantime, attention that should be directed at one or both of the Sudanese generals fueling the war is diverted to Israel.
Sudanese Suffering versus Gaza’s Suffering
It is unfair to compare two types of human suffering.
However, in this case, it is necessary.
Sudan has a population ten times more than that of Gaza.
The international media and the United Nations have mentioned the dire conditions in the Gaza Strip many times more than the suffering in Sudan.
Above all, you will get more people mentioning names and apportioning blame for the Gaza War than the Sudanese civil war. Few people know or care about Sudan.
To be fair, Gaza’s war is more intense and more vivid by way of the size of the Strip and the scope of bombardments.
However, Sudanese suffering should not be ignored. The Sudanese people have been deprived of development by several generations of dictators who ruled by keeping the people impoverished.
The preamble used by the previous Sudanese regimes was replicated by Hamas, which paved the way for October 7 and the war that followed.
Conclusion
Sudan's civil is a systemic problem that has developed over generations of dictatorship and the lack of accountability. Gaza's war will end the moment Hamas surrenders and gives back the hostages. A mass Hamas surrender will inevitably lead to the exile of the members of the group. However, they refuse. In the meantime, the hatred for Israel continues to encourage evil elsewhere. This is so serious that if Israel intervenes in Sudan now, the world's attention is likely to increase, and more help can be granted to Iran. Anti-Israel sentiments lead to the diversion of attention from serious issues – like the Sudan conflict. While suffering Gazan civilians deserve relief, Sudanese civilians also deserve aid. The generals stand in the way, with little to no accountability for them. If Israel intervenes purposefully or by mistake, there will be criticism, and attention will turn to Sudan's suffering. Till then, the world will likely focus entirely on condemning Israel in a biased one-way tirade.
